Prefabricated coolers are manufactured in predetermined sizes and panel configurations. Our coolers are framed and finished on site, allowing us to build around the actual space and create the size, shape, capacity, and appearance your funeral home needs.
Why site-built
A cooler made for the room you already have.
A prefab system may require the building to accommodate the cooler. A site-built system lets the cooler accommodate the building.
That flexibility is especially valuable in existing funeral homes, additions, irregular rooms, and projects where maximizing capacity within a fixed footprint matters.
How it is built
A continuous system from floor plate to finish.
Each layer is planned to work together: structure, vapor control, insulation, sealed seams, cleanable metal finishes, lighting, refrigeration, and optional emergency power.

Traditionally framed on site
The standard enclosure is constructed on site using traditional framing methods, pressure-treated lumber at the base, metal floor plates, and a vapor barrier beneath the wall assembly. A full metal-framing package is also available for an additional cost.

Fully encapsulated to R-38
Closed-cell insulation is installed to an R-38 specification around the cooler enclosure to create a continuous, durable thermal and air-control layer.

Sealed behind the finish
Fiber-reinforced sealant is applied to concealed seams before the metal liner is closed, helping keep conditioned air inside the cooler and reducing hidden air paths.

Finished to fit the facility
Interior and exterior metal finishes can be selected in a range of colors. Sealed LED lighting provides bright, efficient illumination inside the completed enclosure.

Optional backup-power planning
For an additional cost, refrigeration equipment can be designed for connection to an emergency-power panel and properly sized generator system. We can also coordinate and install the generator package.

Specified with performance and compliance in mind.
We select equipment and materials for the project conditions and coordinate the work with applicable building, electrical, mechanical, and fire-code requirements. Listed equipment is used where listing is required.
Documentation for the specified insulation system includes Class A surface-burning characteristics, ASTM E84 and NFPA 286 testing, ICC-ES evaluation ESR-3228, UL file R7813, and GREENGUARD certification. Qualifying materials may also support applicable green-building and LEED project goals.
